Unless selecting a vari-focal camera (with an adjustable lens) It is important to select the correct camera lens option for where the camera is to be positioned. A smaller lens will give you a wider angle but will be "zoomed out more", while a bigger lens will narrow the angle down and "zoom in more". See below to give you some idea on angles of Megapixel HD Cameras:

The amount of hard drive space you require is dictated by how many cameras, as well as their resolution, frame rate settings, and whether you have H.265 encoding enabled or not to save space (We advise turning it on to double the capacity shown below with ease).
Finally, you can often make your storage space last a lot longer by enabling motion-detected recording rather than continuous, especially if there are long periods of no activity (to perhaps double or more these figures again).

As a rule of thumb, we recommend 2 Terabytes for a 4 x 4/5MP HD camera setup, as this should give you approx 2 weeks using H.265 @ 20fps and that is on continuous, not motion-detected recording.
(You may only require the full 25 frames per second on certain cameras if things are fast-moving - ie above a till)

The Hikvision DS-2CD2046G2-IU is part of the Hikvision Easy IP 4.0 AcuSense range of cameras. The 4 megapixel bullet camera is powered by Darkfighter technology along with features such as 120dB WDR and 3D DNR which enable the camera to provide excellent images during challenging or low light levels.
The built-in AcuSense technology uses deep learning algorithms to focus on human or vehicle targeted alarms. The technology has been proven to greatly reduce the occurrence of false alarms that were previously triggered by subjects other than humans or vehicles, such as wildlife, rain, or falling leaves.
The DS-2C2046G2-IU features a built-in microphone that can pick up sound up to 5 meters away (depending on the environment). With event alarms such as Motion Detection, Video Tampering Alarm, Line Crossing Detection and Intrusion Detection the bullet camera allows for secure surveillance, even if you are away from the site. You can receive alerts to your smart phone via the HikConnect app, where you can also record and view live footage.
The camera is powered by PoE but can also be powered by 12V DC power supply unit (not supplied). It also has space for on-board storage via a Micro SD slot, which can hold up to 256GB.
