Suitable for internal/sheltered external use - glass bubbles compromise IR vision (clouded image) when wet/dirty, then with small scratches due to improper cleaning. So while vandal-resistant (to being bent off a wall) the glass bubble is sensitive to imperfections. Turrets are not susceptible to this.
