Haydon HAY-POE-MULTI POE Multiplexer
Unless selecting a vari-focal camera (with an adjustable lens) It is important to select the correct camera lens option for where the camera is to be positioned. A smaller lens will give you a wider angle but will be "zoomed out more", while a bigger lens will narrow the angle down and "zoom in more". See below to give you some idea on angles of Megapixel HD Cameras:

The amount of hard drive space you require is dictated by how many cameras, as well as their resolution, frame rate settings, and whether you have H.265 encoding enabled or not to save space (We advise turning it on to double the capacity shown below with ease).
Finally, you can often make your storage space last a lot longer by enabling motion-detected recording rather than continuous, especially if there are long periods of no activity (to perhaps double or more these figures again).

As a rule of thumb, we recommend 2 Terabytes for a 4 x 4/5MP HD camera setup, as this should give you approx 2 weeks using H.265 @ 20fps and that is on continuous, not motion-detected recording.
(You may only require the full 25 frames per second on certain cameras if things are fast-moving - ie above a till)

The Haydon HAY-POE-MULTI PoE Multiplexer is a simple and cost-effective solution for connecting two IP cameras or PoE network devices using a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable. By combining two PoE connections onto one network cable, it reduces installation time, minimises cabling requirements and lowers installation costs, making it ideal for CCTV upgrades and new IP surveillance installations.
The kit includes both a transmitter and a receiver, providing true plug-and-play installation. Simply connect the receiver to a compatible PoE switch or NVR, run a single Cat5e/Cat6 cable to the camera location, and connect the transmitter to two PoE devices using short patch leads. The system supports cable runs of up to 100 metres, allowing two cameras to share a single network cable without the need for additional power supplies or PoE injectors.
Compatible with both IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at PoE standards, the HAY-POE-MULTI automatically adapts to Type A and Type B PoE pin configurations. It can provide up to 15.4W per device when used with IEEE 802.3af and up to 25.5W per device with IEEE 802.3at PoE+, making it suitable for a wide range of IP cameras and network devices. It is also compatible with Hikvision and Dahua PoE NVRs that use 12/36 pin PoE.
