IP CCTV Wiring (Cat5/6 cable with RJ45 connectors)
Terminating CAT5/6 cable with RJ45 connectors is relatively easy although an RJ45 crimping tool (supplied with our kits when ordering cable) is required.
You simply have to strip the main outer sheath by about 25mm to reveal the individual pairs of wires (do not strip these).

Then they need to be straightened out and arranged in the correct order as detailed below and then trimmed and level 13mm from the outer sheath:

Push the wires into the guides of the RJ45 connector making sure each individual wire meets the end of the connector equally.

Make sure the outer sleeve reaches into the connector and beyond the compression tab.

Finally, crimp the connector using the appropriate tool to fasten it to the cable.
