Wi-Fi Range Extenders with a LAN output - Easy wifi to your DVR/NVR!

Wi-Fi Extenders, also known as Wi-Fi Boosters, are a basic and cheap way to eradicate wireless 'dead zones' at your property, however many of these also have a LAN output so they can also be used as a Wifi adapter for any wired device (a separate mains power socket is all that is required).

How can I use these with a CCTV system?

  1. Wifi Extenders with a LAN connection can be used with DVR/NVRs or wired IP cameras. If for example, your NVR/DVR is on the opposite end of the house to your router, you can integrate a WIFI extender into the setup if you would rather not run a cable. The NVR/DVR can be directly connected to the extender rather than back to the router.
  2. If deploying a camera with inbuilt wifi at a distance from the router such as externally, Wi-Fi range extenders will bridge the gap between your camera and router. (This is especially useful when you are using a Wireless camera/doorbell setup from the likes of Eufy or Ezviz Range).

Benefits of Wi-Fi Extenders

Eliminate Dead Spots

By boosting the range of wifi coverage, an extender can eliminate the frustrating network dead spots in your home.
